About the editor
I’m Martin Kaninsky, founder of About Photography.
For more than a decade I’ve interviewed hundreds of photographers from around the world, exploring not only their finished work but also how they think, edit, and build long-term projects.
I originally trained in law, which has shaped the way I approach this material. I tend to look closely at evidence, decisions, contradictions, and what happened as a result.
That is also how I approach Photography, Reconsidered. I return to interviews, books, photographs, and other sources looking for patterns in how photographers actually work, then turn those observations into practical ideas that other photographers can use in their own work.
